... father of the artist under duress!
This sketch belies the discomfort involved for the sitter. Bill Coppinger - long suffering father and artist's model - was asked to sit for a few sketches as part of Sioban's first public commission - MAN AND EWE ON A PARK BENCH.
In her excitement for the project and total absorption, she forgot to release her model from his pose.
The story has is it that he nearly froze to the spot in the arctic temperatures of the disused milking parlour where the sculpture was being made.
