A collection of portraits of very some very fine birds. Commissioned to paint a chicken for a birthday present, Sioban took flight to her friends who keep a wonderful Chicken Empire.
They have all sorts ... barren battery chickens that go broody, collecting anything up to eighteen eggs ... and still manage to rear two or three MISCREANT chicks.
There are at least two cockerels at any one time ... sometimes more. The COCK STAR is one bird called Henry ... who really does rule the roost (when the ladies allow him).
However, when the ladies gather for a HEN PARTY, you can be sure there'll be a bit of a flap.
